Theresa is a graduate of University of Northern Iowa and received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2008. Prior to her work at CAPA, Theresa worked in a shelter for women who were survivors of domestic violence as well as for Big Brothers Big Sister of Northeast Iowa. Her past experiences have helped her realize that a person who cares can make a difference in the life of someone else.
Theresa's passion lies in providing quality programming and resources for all children and families. Theresa knew she would be working in the non-profit field throughout her career. This knowledge influenced her decision to specialize in social work administration throughout her education. Her ambition is to be a strong support system and advocate for families and those working with families, daily.
Theresa enjoys spending time with her husband, her family and friends, and her dachshund. Theresa also enjoys reading, traveling, and watching the Cubs play baseball!
