Programs & Services
The Child Abuse Prevention Association - CAPA offers three levels of programming designed to prevent child abuse. Our programming is based on a continuum and provides a variety of services.
- Level 1 - Education
- Primary prevention programs directed toward the community to stop child abuse before it occurs.
- Level 2 - Family Support Services
- Secondary prevention programs for families with significant needs designed to alleviate conditions associated with child abuse.
- Level 3 - Counseling
- Tertiary prevention programs for adults and children who have experienced child abuse designed to decrease consequences and prevent its recurrence.
Preventing child abuse and neglect in our community requires attention and focus at each level of prevention. Counseling, Family Support and Education Services are the three levels of prevention at CAPA. Each supports our mission to prevent and treat all forms of child abuse by creating changes in individuals, families and society that strengthen relationships and promote healing.
